As Principal of Drew George & Partners (DGP), Drew consults to design teams and owners during the design and construction phases of their projects, offering system and material recommendations as well as verifying and documenting compliance with the LEED rating system. DGP also provides project management services for owners, managing the design and construction process.

Current projects include a 50,000 square foot academic building for Alliant International University (pursuing LEED Platinum); a 15,000 square foot design/build senior living center for the City of San Diego (pursuing LEED Silver); a 1 million square foot speculative office tower in downtown
Chicago featuring green roofs and extensive daylight views (pursuing LEED Core & Shell certification) among others. Completed DGP projects include Sempra Murrieta Base Facility (LEED Certified) and
Sempra Yukon Base Facility (LEED Silver). USGBC Chapter Affiliation and Involvement: Drew has been active in the US Green Building Council (USGBC) at both the national and local levels since 1999, having served on the National Board for two years as well as founding the Washington,
DC and San Diego Chapters. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and also teaches LEED Workshops on behalf of the USGBC as a LEED Faculty member. Drew also founded the Big Green Discussion Group, an online listserv for professionals committed to greening large projects (www.biggreen.org)

Personal Narrative:
Drew started out in the field in 1983, working as a carpenter's helper on historic buildings and subsequently became a carpenter, foreman, and then partner in a residential construction company. In 1990, Drew moved to Annapolis, MD and operated his own carpentry company until 1995, when he joined Bovis Lend Lease (BLL). He spent 5 years in the BLL Washington, DC office where he worked on large educational and institutional projects. In 2000, Drew moved to San Diego and worked for the BLL Los Angeles office until February 2001, when he was appointed Environmental Manager Americas for the company. In this role, Drew worked on large green building projects across the country, typically
supporting the on site project team. Drew resigned from Bovis Lend Lease in December 2003 to open Drew George & Partners, which focuses exclusively on designing and building green projects.

Drew graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's degree in Technology and Management, with an emphasis on Quality Management, and earned the Certified Quality Manager designation from the American Society for Quality in 1996.
